Half-Way Through

I can't believe it is the middle of July already! How time does fly! Well, it's a good time to reflect on where we are and where we want to be before another year sneaks up on us! Time to re-evaluate and set new goals and put our shoulder to the wheel! Can't say I've done too well in my goal (new years resolution) to lose weight this year. No....not well at all. Hoping to revamp my efforts and enthusiasm for the task as I look forward to getting together with my sisters in Atlanta in October and attend a training in Salt Lake City that same month. My sisters and I have some friendly competition going. Whoever has lost the highest percentage of weight by our get together will get a shopping spree at "Time Out for Women". (which is why we are gathering in Atlanta). So time to really get my competitive juices flowing!

Gary and I will be taking a trip in just about 3 weeks to visit Maine where his sister Nancy, and her husband, Milt, have a cabin. They've invited us to visit and we are both very excited! We have never been to Maine, either one of us, but I have a feeling...I am going to love it! I can't wait to see all the beautiful scenery of the Maine coastline and taste my first Maine lobster! I will be snapping pictures of everything so I'm sure there will be lots to post when I get back! From Maine, Gary and I plan to visit Palmyra, New York , another place I've never been. While we are there, we will visit the Sacred Grove, and the Palmyra Temple. We plan on attending church there in Palmyra as well since we will be there on a Sunday. From there, we plan to visit Niagra Falls! I am so excited about this! Again...never been there and I can't wait to see it! We plan to take the "Maid of the Mist" boat ride where they get you as close to the falls as possible. We have no intentions of trying to stay dry! I don't think we could if we wanted to! After we leave Niagra Falls, we will head to Kirtland, Ohio to visit the Kirtland Temple and surrounding historical sites. Gary is most excited about this portion of our trip. It's something he's looked forward to for a long time, but hasn't had a chance to see before now. It will be hard to be away from home for so long. We are praying that my mother's health will continue to do well and we can have peace of mind about being away from home for so long.

So lots to look forward to in the coming months. Hope all are enjoying their summer and having some fun! We'll share pictures of our trip when we get back!
